We value the importance of developing a positive approach to learning and creating a supportive environment for both staff and students. At the very heart of our mission is to provide the best possible learning experience for our community. We recognise that this will be achieved by our staff and are committed to attracting and retaining the best possible staff.
Our goal is to be an employer of choice via the opportunities and experiences we provide for our staff. We also believe in the concept of 'lifelong learning' and our Professional Learning and Development framework provides for regular review of individual goals, as well as practical and active support in their achievement. All teaching staff employed by the College are expected to participate in a range of duties beyond classroom responsibilities. These duties may include (but are not limited to) participation in the pastoral care program, relevant meetings, assessment and reporting, meetings with parents, professional development activities and co-curricular responsibilities.
All teachers must hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). The College requires all teachers being appointed to a position undergo a Police Criminal Record Check (or supply to us a Check not less than six months old) and requires this check to confirm no record of relevant criminal activity as determined by the College.
