Mercy Honour Role Inductee

Peter Anderson (dec.)

Year of Induction 2012

Peter Anderson (dec.) was a former teacher who lived with motor neurone disease for more than a decade before losing his battle in 2014. He was an outstanding educator and he inspired all who worked with him. When he was diagnosed with MND he continued to model so many qualities that reflect a life of Mercy: courage, determination, humility, humour, compassion and, most importantly, love. It says much about Peter’s character that he wrote a book, Silent Body, Vibrant Mind, that speaks about the way in which his battle with MND had provided him with greater insight into the true meaning of life.
