Rosie has excelled in the field of nursing and utilised her skills to both improve the status of Aboriginal health and train other health professionals to do likewise. She graduated from the College in 2003 and completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2006. She started nursing at Monash Clayton then went on to volunteer for a month at a school in Bali. In 2011, she completed her Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and moved to Cooktown, Queensland, to nurse indigenous patients in a remote area. Rosie then went on to be the Aboriginal Cancer Care Project Officer at the Peter McCallum Hospital whereby she achieved a more culturally sensitive environment for Aborigines suffering from cancer.
