Terry was a Teacher at the College for 24 years and within those years he worked his way to become the Vice Principal for 16 years. He had a disciplined approach to teaching and his ideas on a wide range of issues, both in and out of the classroom, led to decisions that are still in vogue today. Terry was instrumental in organising and developing the Vertical Curriculum Program at the College, providing an education to the students that was based on their interest and abilities. Terry continues to support Mount Lilydale Mercy College and, in particular, the Old Collegians' Association.
