Our College Captains Kate W and Josh O and Vice Captains Jordyn K and Nicholas L represented the College at the Anzac Day dawn service at Lilydale cenotaph last week, laying a wreath on behalf of the College.

After the service, they were joined for photos by Federal Member for Casey Aaron Violi (OC 2002) as well as State MP Bridget Vallance (pictured below).

Year 10 student Kane M was also part of the service, standing with the RAAF cadets which served as the catafalque party.

Our College Choir performed beautifully throughout, singing The Recessional hymn as well as the New Zealand and Australian national anthems.

Choir director Ms Caroline Dickason was also called on by Lilydale RSL President Mr Bill Dobson to receive a Certificate of Appreciation for the College’s years of service to the event.

On Tuesday 23 April, our College acknowledged our servicemen and women with an Anzac Day service provided by Humanities Prefect Zacc P and Performing Arts Prefect Cohen V. The College commemorated this occasion during Pastoral Care where students were given an opportunity to engage in activities and videos prior to the ceremony to gain a greater understanding and reflect on the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers.
