Orientation Day is a day dedicated to the Year 7s that allows them to find out about what their first year at MLMC entails. As well as this, they are able to learn about their homeroom, their homeroom teacher and the class that they will be associated with for the year ahead.
The Year 7s with the help of their Year 10 peer support leaders were guided through the day and given insights into what to expect and what is expected of them as students. They were also given tours around the school.
Nathan and myself had the pleasure of attending each homeroom and explaining our role as McAuley Prefects. It was evident that they were eager to start Year 7 and were ready to contribute to Mount Lilydale Mercy College.
Nathan and I look forward to working with them as much as they do us - 2018 will be an incredible year with these determined young students!
