The theme of this year’s Year 12 Retreat, held earlier this week, was 'Trust yourself to God and dare to dream'. It gave students the opportunity to reflect on their relationships with God, others and self. Students engaged in a variety of activities including discussion, journal writing, team building, prayer and reflection. Although students were at five different venues, all Year 12 classes returned to College for a celebration of the Eucharist in the Chapel.

Students expressed many positive views about the Retreat, believing it gave them time to think about their futures, not just what they want to do but who they want to be. They were able to explore the Mercy value of compassion and made a commitment to trying to live this in the year ahead. They enjoyed reflecting on the concept of forgiveness and taking steps to let go of grudges and resentment. Students also found it beneficial to spend time getting to know their new Homeroom teachers and peers.
